How does charging your plug-in hybrid work?

Whether you’re charging at home, at the office or on the go at the growing number of public charging points, there are several ways to recharge your Plug-in Hybrid and realise its full potential.

Domestic charging

The RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid’s on-board fast charger allows you to recharge its batteries from a standard 10 A home power supply in 7.5 hours.

Dedicated charging

For optimum speed and safety, the combination of a dedicated cable and wallbox unit allows you to recharge the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid in 2.5 hours.

Quick charging

Rapid charging points can be found in a number of public locations, from motorways service stations to petrol stations and supermarkets. These highly efficient units are able to recharge a Toyota PROACE Electric’s 50 kWh battery in just 0.5 hours*.
